The Certificate III in Occupational Health and Safety (BSB30707) is a nationally-recognised qualification for people whose main job is not dedicated to Occupational Health and Safety but who take it on as a voluntary or additional duty (such as an OHS Representative or OHS Committee Member). The qualification reflects the role of skilled operators who apply a broad range of competencies in varied work contexts, using some discretion and judgement and relevant theoretical knowledge, and who provide technical advice and support to a team.

Course Overview
This qualification requires completion of twelve (12) units of competency, comprising seven (7) core Occupational Health and Safety units and five (5) elective units – addressing a variety of topics and subject-matter areas including, but not limited to: Hazard Identification and Control; Risk Assessment; Emergency Prevention; OHS Investigation and Issue Resolution; Environmental Sustainability; Workplace Innovation; and Workplace Communication.
